Michael is a respected leader in the security and Events industry with over 20 years’ experience in safety and risk management. As Owner and Managing Director of NES, he has guided the company’s growth into a trusted provider of innovative, client-focused security services. Specialising in premier venue and large-scale event security, Michael ensures every operation is delivered with precision, professionalism, and a commitment to safety. His expertise spans risk assessment, event management, strategic planning, and building resilient teams that prioritise service and operational excellence.
Mark provides management leadership for NES in the areas of Business Management, Contract Management, Human Resources, Marketing, O.H&S, Risk Management. Mark has been actively involved in the security industry for 35 years. Mark has contributed his knowledge and services to the management of many blockbuster events including the Bathurst 1000 Motor Racing, Telstra Sydney 500 Motor Racing, Sydney Festival, Bledisloe Cup Rugby, NRL Rugby League State of Origin and Grand Final and a host of other sporting events, concerts, festivals and celebrations.
Zoe commenced her career with NES in 1999 and has since gained extensive experience in event operations, supervision, and venue liaison, contributing to the successful delivery of some of Australia’s largest events. In 2013, she was appointed as the Office Manager, a role which she enhanced operational processes and supported the organisation’s growth. In 2025 Zoe now overseas operational delivery across the entire organisation. She is committed to ensuring client satisfaction and the events are executed seamlessly and support the teams to make it possible.
NES is located at 2/18 Council Street, Wallsend (Newcastle). Though we were founded, and our Head Office remains in Newcastle, as our name suggests, National Event Services have national capabilities. NES have serviced all Australian capital cities and toured internationally with various performers and sportspeople.
NES are one of the country’s leading suppliers of entertainment security officers. Over the past 40 years NES has diversified its capabilities within the industry to include the supply of disaster and emergency evacuation management, CCTV and control room operators, static guards, boom gate and weigh bridge controllers, site managers and total event management.
NES supply not only security and safety personnel, experienced in all facets of the industry, but all resources to conduct a successful event or to operate a venue efficiently, ie. guards/safety officers, RSA marshals, bar staff, ushers, carpark attendants, COVID Marshals, Traffic Control Officers, couriers and cleaners.
